APPROVE A TOBACCO AND TOBACCO PRODUCTS LICENSE FOR SPEEDWAY DBA SPEEDY GAS, 8550 LEXINGTON AVENUE NE

Background

Tareq Alajrami, applicant, 1481 111^th Lane, Unit C, Blaine MN, has submitted an application for a tobacco and tobacco products license for Speedway DBA Speedy Gas LLC at 8550 Lexington Avenue NE.  The applicant is purchasing the existing business and has met the licensing requirements by completing all necessary forms and depositing the fee with the City.

The Blaine Police Department has conducted a background investigation on the applicant and found nothing to prohibit issuance of the license.  Approval of the tobacco license will be contingent a Certificate of Occupancy Walk-Through Permit by the Building Inspections and Fire Departments.

Recommendation

By motion, approve a tobacco and tobacco products license for Speedway DBA Speedy Gas LLC at 8550 Lexington Avenue NE.
