AUTHORIZE AGREEMENT WITH SGR TO CONDUCT EXECUTIVE SEARCH FOR THE POSITION OF CITY MANAGER
Background
In January, Council requested staff to seek proposals to conduct an executive search process for the City Manager position. Staff received proposals from seven (7) firms and after thorough analysis is recommending that the City Council authorize the Mayor and City Manager to sign an agreement with Strategic Government Resources (SGR) to conduct the search at a cost not to exceed $26,500.
With the goal to have a new City Manager named by mid-year, staff feels that SGR best meets the needs of the City to achieve that goal. The rationale for this recommendation was discussed with the Council at their Workshop earlier this evening.
Recommendation
By motion, authorize the Mayor and City Manager to enter into an agreement with Strategic Government Resources to conduct an Executive Search to fill the position of City Manager at a cost not to exceed $26,500.
