APPROVE 2021 ANNUAL LICENSE RENEWALS

 

Background

Staff has received the following 2021 license renewals as outlined on the attached list of Blaine businesses.  The following licenses are eligible for renewable on January 1, 2021:

  • Amusement Centers
  • Garbage Haulers
  • Massage Enterprise
  • Massage Individual (approved administratively)
  • Tobacco

 

All City Code requirements have been met.  Renewal fees will be paid and background checks completed prior to issuance of any license.  The City Council has the authority to approve or deny any of these licenses for reasons outlined in City Code.  This was the first renewal period where license holders could renew online and was well received.  There are some renewals still outstanding and will be included on the December 21 Council agenda for consideration. 

 

Recommendation

By motion, approve the 2021 license renewals.
