Title
ABATE 2015 ASSESSMENT FOR DELINQUENT UTILITIES AND CERTIFY DELINQUENT UTILITIES FOR COLLECTION WITH ANOKA COUNTY
Background
On November 20, 2014, Council adopted Resolution 14-222 which certified delinquent utility bills for 2015 collection with Anoka County. Included in error with that certified list was an assessment for the parcel with PID 06-31-23-14-0090 for $476.80. The correct PID to be certified is Parcel 33-31-23-14-0038. The following resolution serves to abate the original, incorrect certification of Parcel 06-31-23-14-0090 and establish the 2015 assessment for Parcel 33-31-23-14-0038.
Recommendation
By motion, approve the following resolution.
Body
WHEREAS, the records of the Public Utilities Billing Department list certain accounts as delinquent; and
WHEREAS, pertinent Minnesota Statutes authorize certification of the delinquent accounts to the County tax rolls for collection; and
WHEREAS, parcel 06-31-23-14-0090 was incorrectly identified as having delinquent utilities of $476.80, the amount of which was certified for collection with Anoka County; and
WHEREAS, parcel 06-31-23-14-0090 with delinquent utilities totaling $476.80 was incorrectly left off the certification list sent to Anoka County.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Blaine that following amount certified to the property with the legal description stated below be abated and removed from the assessment roll adopted November 20, 2014:

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Blaine that the City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to certify to the County Auditor the following amount on the property with the legal description of the premises served, as set forth below:
