CONSENT AGENDA - Robert Therres, Public Services Mgr./Asst. City Mgr.
Title
A RESOLUTION DECLARING CERTAIN PROPERTY SURPLUS AND AUTHORIZING SALE AND/OR DISPOSAL THEREOF
Background
As part of the Construction of the new Mary Ann Young Center, the City will dispose of pieces of furniture and equipment from the existing facility that will not be used in the new facility. Per City policy, some of the equipment will be sold prior to the move, and some equipment will be donated to appropriate non-profits. There are no items of substantial value but some people have expressed interest in some of the old tables and chairs, and having a set sale is the fairest way to sell these items. The City Charter requires a resolution be adopted by the City Council declaring the property as surplus before the sale or disposal of the property.
Recommendation
By Motion, adopt the Resolution.
