AUTHORIZE PURCHASE OF NEW ELECTRICAL SERVICES EQUIPMENT FOR LIFT STATIONS 12 AND 13 IN THE AMOUNT OF $19,472.00, IMPROVEMENT PROJECT NO. 14-08
Background
Staff received a quote from WW Goetsch Associates, Inc. of $19,472.00 for four new pump cords for Lift Stations 12 and 13. The City has been rehabilitating Lift Stations 12 and 13 this past spring and summer, including new control panels and adding generators. The final piece of the work is the installation of new pump cords. The City has been purchasing as much of the equipment as possible directly from the supplier and avoiding contractor mark ups. The new pump cords are specific to the brand of pumps that are installed, so only one quote was received. The cords will be funded from the sanitary sewer fund.
Recommendation
By Motion, approve the purchase of four new pump cords from WW Goetsch Associates, Inc. for $19,472.00 to be charged to the budgeted sanitary sewer project funds.
