AUTHORIZE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO CONTRACT WITH GRAYBAR ELECTRIC COMPANY, INC. IN THE AMOUNT OF $599,280.72 FOR FIELD LIGHTING AT THE LEXINGTON ATHLETIC COMPLEX, IMPROVEMENT PROJECT NO. 12-14
Background
As we move forward with the construction of the new Lexington Athletic Complex, money has been set aside in the Parks Capital Improvement Program fund to be used to purchase field lighting for the 2 baseball fields, 2 soccer fields, 3 tennis/pickleball courts and hockey rink. We received a quote from Graybar Electric Company, Inc. in the amount of $599,280.72 for the installation of 30 Musco Light-Structures which includes 156 fixtures, 2 Control-Link wireless control systems with contactor cabinets, 25-year warranty, one group re-lamp, and push button operation for the tennis court lighting. Pricing for this contract was established through the US Communities cooperative purchasing group.
Recommendation
By motion, authorize the City Manager to enter into contract with Graybar Electric Company, Inc. in the amount of $599,280.72 to provide field lighting at the Lexington Athletic Complex.
