APPROVE QUOTE FROM VOSS UTILITY AND PLUMBING FOR THE BALTIMORE STREET STORM SEWER REPAIR, IMPROVEMENT PROJECT NO. 14-12
Background
A corrugated metal storm sewer pipe crossing under Baltimore Street just north of 99th Avenue has rusted out, creating a small sinkhole in the street. The sinkhole is adjacent to a catch basin right in front of the driveway to the Metro Storage site that is under construction.
Staff has solicited a quote from Voss Utility and Plumbing as they are the site contractor for the Metro Storage site and will already be doing construction work to remove the driveway and replace curb in this location. The project will entail removal of the failed corrugated metal storm pipe and replacement with concrete pipe, replacement of one catch basin and patching of the street. The quote was as follows:
Voss Utility and Plumbing $17,397
Staff is recommending accepting the quote from Voss Utility and Plumbing for the Baltimore in the not-to-exceed exceed amount of $17,397. The funding source for this work is the Storm Water Utility Fund and there are sufficient funds to cover these costs.

By motion, accept quote.
