The Council is asked to approve a temporary road closure for a Memorial Day ceremony in Tom Ryan Park.
Background
Steve Guider, Veterans Memorial Park, has submitted a special event license to hold a Memorial Day ceremony in Tom Ryan Park on May 30, 2022. The ceremony will include speakers, presentations, music, and a rifle volley. To help facilitate a safe environment for attendees, the applicant is proposing to close a small portion of Park Avenue from 7AM to 3PM for the event. Staff will coordinate the closure with the Public Works Department.
