Background
Project No. 14-01 includes a 1½ inch bituminous overlay, edge milling, spot curb replacement and appurtenant construction.  The total estimated cost of the project is as follows:

The total project cost indicated in the Feasibility Report was $412,500.00.
 
The Assessment Roll has been prepared consistent with the Feasibility Report.  Of the total estimated cost, the amount to be assessed is $152,835.74.  Pavement Management Program Funds will contribute $177,530.90.
 
Recommendation
By motion, approve the resolution.

WHEREAS, a contract has been entered into for construction of a 1½ inch bituminous overlay, edge milling, spot curb replacement, and appurtenant construction in the following described area:
 
Mankato Street from 109th Ave to 107th Ln
108th Lane from Mankato St to Radisson Rd
107th Lane from Mankato St to Radisson Rd
Nassau Street from 107th Ln to 105th Ave
106th Lane from Radisson Rd to cul de sac
Flanders Court from 109th Ave to cul de sac
Fillmore Street from 99th Ave to approximately 627 feet north
113th Avenue from Ulysses St to Jefferson St
113th Circle from 113th Ave to cul de sac
 
AND WHEREAS, the estimated construction cost for such improvement is $294,840.16 and the estimated expenses incurred in the making of said improvements amount to be $35,526.48 making the total estimated cost $330,366.64.
 
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Blaine as follows:
 
1.      The total estimated cost of such improvement is hereby declared to be $330,366.64.
 
2.      The amount to be assessed is hereby declared to be $152,835.74.  The Pavement Management Program will contribute $177,530.90.
 
3.      The City Manager shall forthwith calculate the proper amount to be specially assessed for such improvement against every assessable lot, piece, or parcel of land within the district affected without regard to cash valuation, as provided by law, and he shall file a copy of such proposed assessment in his office for public inspection.
