VACATION OF DRAINAGE AND UTILITY EASEMENT FOR LEXINGTON MEADOWS, VACATION NO. V19-07

 

Background

A petition received July 18, 2019, was submitted to the City by Stephen Wellington representing Lexington Meadows LLC., and Nicholas Andersen, representing Blaine Leased Housing, requesting vacation of drainage and utility easements that underlie street right-of-way for a proposed plat.  The Engineering Department has reviewed this request and concurs with the vacation.

Recommendation

By motion, adopt the Resolution.

 

Body

WHEREAS, the City Council has received a petition dated the 18th day of July, 2019, requesting vacation of drainage and utility easements in the plat of Lexington Meadows; and

 

                     WHEREAS, the required public hearing notices were published and mailed, and the public hearing was held on the 16th day of September, 2019, at which time all persons desiring to be heard were given an opportunity to be heard.

 

                     NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Blaine as follows:

 

1.                     The vacation of drainage and utility easement at Lot 1, Block 1, together with Outlot A, Outlot B, and Outlot C, LEXINGTON MEADOWS, as recorded in Anoka County, Minnesota, is hereby approved as described:

 

That part of the drainage and utility easement originally dedicated per Document No. 2128174.003, as recorded in Anoka County, Minnesota; and all of the drainage and utility easements over Outlot C, LEXINGTON MEADOWS, according to the recorded plat thereof, Anoka County, Minnesota
