AUTHORIZE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO CONTRACT WITH SRF CONSULTING GROUP, INC. IN THE AMOUNT $82,100 FOR CONSTRUCTION MANAGEMENT SERVICES FOR THE LEXINGTON ATHLETIC COMPLEX, IMPROVEMENT PROJECT NO. 12-14
Background
When looking at the complexity of the Lexington Athletic Complex project and the amount of other projects that the City is working on in 2014 -2015, staff is looking to hire a firm to perform construction management services for this project. As shown in the summary sheet attached to the first item, budget funds are available for this.
Two quotes were submitted for construction management services:
SRF Consulting Group, Inc. $82,100
RJM Construction $248, 059
Staff is recommending the hiring of SRF Consulting Group to provide a total of 20 hours per week for construction management of the Lexington Athletic Complex project.
Recommendation
By motion, authorize City Manager to enter into contract with SRF Consulting Group, Inc. for construction management services for the Lexington Athletic Complex in an amount not to exceed $82,100.
