APPROVE CAPITAL EQUIPMENT PURCHASE FOR A770 BOBCAT SKID-LOADER
Background
For the past several years the City has participated in a trade-in program with Tri-State Bobcat, the state contract holder and provider of the Bobcat skid-loaders we have purchased. In 2010 the City purchased a model A300 skid-loader that was not included in the trade-in program until this year. Tri-State is now ready for the trade-in of the A300. This purchase was budgeted for the 2014 capital equipment replacement program and funded equally from the Water and Sewer Funds. Staff is requesting authorization to trade-in the current model and purchase the new A770 skid-loader. (A770 is the new model number for the A300.)

Recommendation
By motion, approve the purchase of a new A770 Bobcat skid-loader from Tri-State Bobcat for $20,398.00, funded equally between the Water and Sewer Funds.
