Executive Summary
Council is asked to approve a new vending truck license. This license will allow the applicant to sell ice cream or similar treats from a mobile vending truck on city streets.
Background
John Petsuch of The Treat Truck submitted an online application for a vending truck license. Required documents have been submitted, including a certificate of insurance. The applicant submitted a receipt showing they have applied for their retail mobile food handler license through the Minnesota Department of Agriculture, they are waiting to receive the original license from the State.
The Blaine Police Department is conducting a background investigation for Mr. Petsuch. The issuance of the license is contingent upon successful background and a copy of the retail mobile food handler license. If approved, the vending license will be effective through April 30, 2023.
