Background
The Parks Development CIP has a new park in the Lexington Waters development proposed for construction in 2023. City staff met to discuss possible names for the new park, looking at the history of the area. Sunrise Pond is the focal point of the neighborhood, and with the addition of the new Sunrise Ponds Trail that will connect the neighborhoods from the east and southeast, staff is recommending the new park be named Sunrise Pond Park.
Staff Recommendation
By motion, recommend to the Blaine City Council that the park in the Lexington Waters development be named Sunrise Pond Park.
