Background

Council approved the 2022 Preliminary Tax Levy and 2022 Preliminary General Fund Budget at the September 20 Council meeting. At the October 30 Retreat, discussion will center on refinements to the 2022 tax levy and budget with the intended outcome of providing staff with specific direction on the final tax levy and recommended initiatives.

Staff will provide information for discussion on the following topics:

•                     2022 Property Tax Levy -

o                     Proposed levies for the General Fund, Debt Service, PMP, Parks and Trails, and EDA

o                     Determination on additional, currently unallocated, tax levy capacity

•                     General Fund Budget

o                     Revenue proposals

o                     Expenditure proposals

§                     Department and division budgets

§                     Recommended initiatives (Decision Packages)
