Executive Summary
City staff and the Park Board Chair have received some inquiries about constructing a new skate park in Blaine. Staff is seeking the Park Board’s input on the topic.
Background
In 1999, the City of Blaine constructed the first and only skate park in the city at the Blaine Baseball Complex for $46,350. The skate park is a 50’ x 60’ concrete and metal structure. In 2010 the Jim Peterson Park was officially opened off of Radisson Road and Cloud Drive. As part of the design plans for Jim Peterson Park, an area on the west side of the park was identified for a possible future skate park.
