UPDATED POLLING PLACE DESIGNATIONS FOR 2020
Background
State Statute requires each municipality to designate polling place locations annually, even when no elections are regularly scheduled. The attached map identifies the City’s current 24 polling locations. Based on the current COVID-19 pandemic, staff is working to identify potential new polling locations to provide better social distancing on election day as well as making a concerted effort to move out of schools where possible. Staff will provide an update during the meeting on alternative locations for Council consideration.
Recommendation
Staff will provide a resolution for consideration and adoption once locations are identified.
