SPRING RETREAT - 2020 BUDGET UPDATE & 2021 BUDGET PREP
Background
While the intent entering 2020 was to be further along with the 2021 Budget process at this point, the breakout of the COVID-19 pandemic has forced a slight diversion of plans. As a result, staff will be providing Council with information on the following:
1. The April 30, 2020 General Fund Financial Summary;
2. The impact of COVID-19 on 2020 operations and the most recent outlook for the remainder of 2020;
3. 2021 Budget preparation, particularly the development of the 2021 tax levy
Recommendation
Staff will present information on the above topics for Council discussion and guidance on next steps in the budget process.
