APPROVE PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS AND ORDER ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS FOR TOURNAMENT PLAYERS PARKWAY, 2019 STREET RECONSTRUCTIONS, IMPROVEMENT PROJECT NO. 19-07
Background
The Public Hearing for the proposed improvement project was held on February 21, 2019, and the City Council ordered the preparation of plans and specifications. The 2019 Street Reconstructions Project, which reconstructs various city streets, is to be constructed over two years (2019 and 2020). The construction project for this year consists of the reconstruction of Tournament Players Parkway from 109th Avenue to Radisson Road.
The proposed improvements to Tournament Players Parkway include repair and replacement of damaged concrete curb and gutter and sidewalk, pedestrian ramp improvements, full depth reclamation, new bituminous pavement, new sanitary castings and rings, and appurtenant construction.
Plans and specifications have been prepared as directed and are available for Council review in the Engineering Department.

Recommendation
By motion, adopt the resolution.
Body
WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 19-19 of the Blaine City Council, adopted on the 21st day of February, 2019, Staff has prepared plans and specifications for Tournament Players Parkway, 2019 Street Reconstructions; and
WHEREAS, the Engineering Department has presented such plans and specification to the City Council for their approval.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Blaine as follows:
1. Such plans and specifications, copies of which are filed in the Engineering Department, are hereby approved.
2. The City Manager shall prepare and cause to be inserted in the official newspaper of the City an advertisement for bid for making of such improvements pursuant to the approved plans and specifications.
3. Such advertisement for bids shall call for sealed bids to be received in compliance with Notice of Contractor for the advertisement for bids.
