Background
Playground replacements for Xylite, Sunnyside and Palmer Parks have been ordered. We should have all the equipment by early March. Tear out and installation will occur in the spring.
Band shell update - Staff has been working with the consultant on the final details of the plan set. The final plan set should be ready in the next couple of weeks.
Snow Day is Saturday, January 28 from 1 to 4pm at Wargo Nature Center. There will be various outdoor activities and refreshments. This is a free event, and no registration is required.
The Mary Ann Young Center has an abundance of offerings listed in our Winter/Spring brochure. Some of the offerings include nutrition, defensive driving, fitness, tours, woodcarving, and cards, just to name a few.
The outdoor skating rinks will be open through the end of February, weather permitting. Our Public Works department has been busy this winter trying to get them cleared off and open for skating.
Summer employment for the Parks and Recreation department starts February 1. Check out our positions on the city’s website under employment.
