Sunset Avenue and 125th Avenue (CSAH 14) Intersection Improvements Project

Background
Anoka County is proposing roadway improvements at the intersection of Sunset Avenue and 125th Avenue (CSAH 14). The attached concept layout shows the configuration of what the proposed roundabout will look like and how it will fit into the corridor. The County is preparing to start the public engagement portion of the project and would like to introduce the project to the city council.
The attached layout is nearing the 30% design plan and is being evaluated for impacts to wetlands, right-of-way, geotechnical, and traffic staging. The County’s design team continues to coordinate the project with several agencies including the City of Lino Lakes and the Rice Creek Watershed.
The project schedule is as follows:
30% Plans Dec 2022
Public Engagement Jan 2023
60% Plans Apr/May 2023
95% Plans Sept/Oct 2023
Final Approvals Jan 2024
Start Construction Apr/May 2024
Please note that all agencies are given an opportunity to review and comment at the completion of each of the design plan stages.
