Happy Acres Parking Lot - The parking lot and trails have been graded and are almost ready for asphalt. The concrete curbs have been installed, storm sewer and asphalt will be completed next week. Forest Lake Contracting is the contractor.

Band shell update - Staff brought the band shell project back to the council on October 17. 2022. Council gave staff permission to go out for bid.

Centennial Green and Territorial Parks courts have been graded and fence posts are in. They will be finishing up the concrete mow strip and asphalt soon. Sunram Construction is the contractor.

Oktoberfest was held on October 1 from 3 to 9 pm at Tom Ryan Park. The event was a huge success with over 4,000 visitors. There was a craft fair, food, drinks, and a petting zoo for the kids. The event is already set for October 2023.

Dog Park Woodcarving - Eddie Turner, one of our senior woodcarvers at the Mary Ann Young Center, created a carving that resembles a golden retriever. We had a five-foot-high tree stump in front of the dog park that we were saving for a carving. Eddie decided to carve the dog first and then form the tree to be the pedestal that the dog sits on. Eddie placed his work of art on the tree stump and sealed the carving for the outdoor elements.  It is an amazing addition to the dog park. In fact, visitors have been stopping to take their picture with the carving.
