Ratification of Local 392 (Police Captains) Labor Agreement for 2022-2024

Background
The City of Blaine and the Police Captains have reached agreement on the attached labor contract covering the three years beginning January 1, 2022 through December 31, 2024.
Bargained changes to the contract include:
1. Wage Adjustments of 3% for each of the years covered under the labor contract.
2. An annual increase of $50 per month per year in the City’s monthly contribution to the cafeteria plan.
3. For the calendar year 2024, the margin between the starting Captain rate compared to the top Sergeant rate (no specialty pay/overtime considered) will not fall below an 11.6% difference. This will be documented in an attached MOA.
4. Decreased contributions to the POST Health Care Savings by 1% after the execution of the agreement and following, per union request and attached MOA.
5. Incidental technical and clean up language changes.
